• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for solo artists e.g. Helen Mtawali, Faith Kithele, Linda Muthama and many more.

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for live bands e.g. Dennis wampayo’s band (lingala) & Grace Band International (DRC), Rock of Ages band (rock), Afrology band (afro-fusion), and many more.

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for Choirs e.g. Mwanza Township Choir (Tanzania), Donholm fellowship choir (Kenya), Mully Children's Family choir and many more.

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for acapella  groups e.g Nicholas Harmonies (Nakuru), The Trumpeters (Mombasa)

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for instrumental bands e.g.  Chris on the Sax (Uganda).

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for audio books

• Branded a local gospel radio station (90.7 Truth Fm) with over 100 promos, station IDs, and jingles.

• Engineering and producing of sound recordings for international music projects e.g. Somalia peace album which featured Khadijah Somalia’s iconic artist and the first African woman to play the kaban - an Arabic guitar.

  • NB: this project was mixed & mastered in Canada, the project director Mr. Steve Morris. Had some good words to say - His remarks quote;

“The engineer, with whom I have worked, a long time collaborator, was pleased with the quality for your work and spoke highly of you. So take a bow please.”

“The Arab guitar playing is stunning as your warm recording reveals and Khadija's voice requires just a touch of compression and reverb. Farah’s work is stunning, especially his percussion material.”

Collaborations and accolades

• Engineer; Recording, mixing & mastering + Creative director Zaidi Album live launch by Mercy Masika. April 2020 [Produced & Directed by Tim of Still Alive]. Over 500k+ streams & Top 10 Gospel Chart on BoomPlay - (May 20-26, 2020)

• Recording engineer for Mully Movie soundtrack - vocals. It won the International Film Music Critics Awards (IFMCA) 2017 among ten other international awards wins. Oscars Award Nominee 2018.

• Affiliate and approved producer /engineer to work with Johari Cleff Production studios in Nairobi Kenya.

• Supervising engineer in charge of the installation and setup of Riara University Bruce Odhiambo Audiovisual studios

• A consultant in sound studio facility design, video production and  equipment connections for sound and music industries.

• Re-branded 90.7 Truth Fm (a local radio station based in Nairobi) with over 100 promos, jingles, and station IDs.

• Directed and produced high quality music videos some which have done well leading number one on top ten gospel charts shows like ‘Rauka’ on citizen TV. 

• Produced 5 complete high quality audio books (4.5 hrs run time) in different international languages for a Canadian publishing firm.

• Television program montages - furnished KBC’s Angaza Saturday gospel music show with its signature tune.

• Discovered and developed “Afro Ville” a new sound/ genre of music arrangement. Currently gathering international interests from South Africa and France.  Our local Kenyan media has also covered this story, the latest one being on the January 19th 2013 the Standard Newspaper pg 21.

• Lecturer Music business-Media & Technology I ACME 2206 SOUND RECORDING practical Technical university of Kenya (under IBL program) 2014

• Mentoring young upcoming producers and video directors.

• Produced the first ever ‘Short African tales in French’ audio book which entailed voice recording (narration), sound effects, song composition & arranging in 5.1 surround.

• Directed and produced a peace song titled "Amani Huanzia Hapa" for Global Peace Festival 2008. It consisted of 35 singers and a four piece band (villagers band- headed by Chris Adwar).
